Q: Is there fuel (gas, diesel or both) available at the dock? Yes. Private service station in Harbour, gas only. Diesel is available at the service station in the village

Q: What is the depth at the fuel dock, and average depth throughout the Harbour? Five feet or more at the fuel dock and throughout the Harbour

Q: Is propane available at the Harbour? No. It is available at the service station, 15 walk from Harbour

Q: Is there a pump out? YES

Q: Is there water available at the slips? YES

Q: Do you have coin laundry available? Yes, two blocks away from Harbour

Q: What amperage of hydro is available at the slips? 30 AMPS

Q: Do you have BBQ's for transient boaters? Yes, fixed to Harbour Island

Q: Are there public washrooms and shower facilities? Yes, these are also located at the Visitor's Welcome Centre, one block from Harbour

Q: Do you sell fishing tackle? Yes, at the Hardware Store and News/Sports Shop on Church Street, two blocks from Harbour

Q: Do you sell fishing licenses? Yes, at News/Sports Store on Church Street

Q: Do you sell Marine parts or service boats? Limited parts available at hardware store, service is available on request from nearby marinas in Portland and Chaffey's Locks

Q: How many slips are designated for transient use? All, plus 20 depending on boat size The harbour entrance is well marked, and signed Welcome to Westport Harbour

Q: Do you take reservations by phone, fax, VHF, internet? Sorry, we are unable to do so.

Q: Are charts available? No. They are available at Rideau Canal Locks

Q: Is there a grocery store within walking distance or within driving distance? Yes, major grocery store and liquor store is one block from Harbour

Q: Is there a beer store nearby? Yes; about a 15 minute walk from Harbour

Q: Do any businesses in town operate a shuttle or delivery service for boaters stranded without a car? Sorry, there are no taxis or shuttles in Westport.

Q: Is there an ATM? Yes, the Bank of Montreal is one block from Harbour

Q: Is there a pharmacy? Yes, two blocks from Harbour

Q: Is there a hospital nearby? Yes, Perth Hospital is 40 minutes away

Q: Is there a medical clinic? Yes, by appointment, 2 blocks from Harbour

Q: Is there a dentist? Yes, by appointment, 1 block from Harbour

Q: What public transport services are available? There is no public transit in Westport.

WATER, WATER, EVERYWHERE:

From May until mid-October boaters use the municipal dock located on Upper Rideau Lake in Westport. Village amenities are easily accessible via a footbridge. Within easy driving of Westport are dozens of lakes; canoeing, boating and fishing are favourite pastimes in the area. Boat and canoe rentals are available in town.
