30, January 2010 - Portland Outdoor Event
Come to Portland on January 30 to take part in fun Winter Activities on the lake. There's something for the whole family.The fun begins at 10 AM and continues until 3. Canteen is available.

12, February 2010 - Newboro Winter Carnival
Febraury 12, 13 & 14 - Come to Newboro for skating, bonfires and candle-lit cross-country skiing. On Saturday there is a fishing Derby, Ice Pool games and bed races on the ice. Spectacular fireworks finish the evening.

Our unique fine art includes magical Potographic art, elegant flowing sculptures, traditional rughooking, gorgeous comfortable clothing and throws, rustic birdhouses and mirrors, stained glass and copper and glass garden sculptures, recycled farm equipment; unique pottery and painted items, architectural sculptures, wire art, heritage paintings and much more.

01, July 2010 - Canda Day Celebrations in Westport
The fun starts in Westport at 1 PM with opening ceremonies at The Rideau District Museum followed by a bicycle parade for the kids. Activities then move to the Lions Club Beach where there are Air Castles, Food and entertainment. No Canada Day would be complete without fireworks and the show at the beach is nothing short of spectacular. And, the entertainment is all free!

Village amenities are easily accessible via a footbridge. Within easy driving of Westport are dozens of lakes; canoeing, boating and fishing are favourite pastimes in the area. Boat and canoe rentals are available in town.
