30, January 2010 - Portland Outdoor Event
Come to Portland on January 30 to take part in fun Winter Activities on the lake. There's something for the whole family.The fun begins at 10 AM and continues until 3. Canteen is available.

12, February 2010 - Newboro Winter Carnival
Febraury 12, 13 & 14 - Come to Newboro for skating, bonfires and candle-lit cross-country skiing. On Saturday there is a fishing Derby, Ice Pool games and bed races on the ice. Spectacular fireworks finish the evening.

13, February 2010 - Rideau Lakes Chili Fly-In

Two shows - February 19 & 20 On the 3rd WEEKEND of the month, from October through June, The Cove Country Inn features Canada's Best Blues Artists. Juno and Maple award winners play LIVE to sell out crowds with a portion of the event proceeds going to local charities!
Tickets are only $55 per person (taxes and charitable donation included) and advance reservations are required. Ticket price includes your meal!

01, July 2010 - Canda Day Celebrations in Westport
The fun starts in Westport at 1 PM with opening ceremonies at The Rideau District Museum followed by a bicycle parade for the kids. Activities then move to the Lions Club Beach where there are Air Castles, Food and entertainment. No Canada Day would be complete without fireworks and the show at the beach is nothing short of spectacular. And, the entertainment is all free!

10, July 2010 - Elgin Days
Come to Elgin July 10 & 11 for some fun in the country. Village-wide yard sales, air castles, games, music, Grass Hogs lawn mower races, a parade and so much more. There is something for the whole family to enjoy.

WATER, WATER, EVERYWHERE:
From May until mid-October boaters use the municipal dock located on Upper Rideau Lake in Westport. Village amenities are easily accessible via a footbridge. Within easy driving of Westport are dozens of lakes; canoeing, boating and fishing are favourite pastimes in the area. Boat and canoe rentals are available in town.
