Farm & Craft Market

The Westport Heritage Festival features a select group of quality vendors
selling arts, crafts, gifts and food. Enjoy the heritage displays & museum
tours; Lots of musical entertainment and a children's area with face
painting, balloon animals and clowns.



01, July 2010 - Canda Day Celebrations in Westport

The fun starts in Westport at 1 PM with opening ceremonies at The Rideau District Museum followed by a bicycle parade for the kids. Activities then move to the Lions Club Beach where there are Air Castles, Food and entertainment. No Canada Day would be complete without fireworks and the show at the beach is nothing short of spectacular. And, the entertainment is all FREE!

The 13th annual Perth Art-on-the-Lawn Show and Sale takes place on July 10 & 11 at 3054 Rideau Ferry Rd., Perth.  The Art-on-the-Lawn Show and Sale features artists from the Rideau Lakes Artists' Assocation displaying watercolour, oil, and acrylic paintings; pottery, jewlery, quilts, metal works, carvings and much more. 14, August 2010 - Westport Music Festival

The Westport Arts Council presents it's 4th annual FREE festival. There will be 9 bands on 3 outdoor stages - The Cove Country Inn, A Victorain Reflection and SOHO's. Performaces start at noon with a "kids show" on the Cove stage. There will be special evening performance at The Cove beginning at 8:00 PM - 5$ cover charge.



14, August 2010 - Perth Garlic Festival

The 13th annual Perth Garlic Festival takes place on August 14 & 15 at the Perth Fairgrounds.  It includes vendors, children's activities, and contests. 28, August 2010 - Rideau Lakes Artists' Assocation Show & Sale

The Rideau Lakes Artists' Association's annual August Show & Sale takes place on August 28th and 29th at the Westport United Church, located at the corner of Church and Spring St. Original watercolour, oil, and acrylic paintings will be displayed from 10am to 5pm on the 28th and 1pm to 4pm on the 29th.   Admission is FREE! The Westport Arts Council presents it's 3rd annual "Writers Reading" where authors read from their published works. Come to the United Church (corner of Church and Spring) from 1:00 -4:00PM. WATER, WATER, EVERYWHERE:

From May until mid-October boaters use the municipal dock located on Upper Rideau Lake in Westport. Village amenities are easily accessible via a footbridge. Within easy driving of Westport are dozens of lakes; canoeing, boating and fishing are favourite pastimes in the area. Boat and canoe rentals are available in town.
