Waterway Cruisers: A Boater’s HavenHome to several welcoming ports of call, Westport & the Rideau Lakes is a boater’s haven. With expansive waterfront and plans to further develop many of the villages’ harbours – the needs of boaters are recognized by the marinas and cruising services that dot the waterway. Identified by Boating East as the ‘Friendliest Little Port on the Rideau’, Westport is a popular boating destination for cruisers far and near. Westport Harbour is run by a harbour master on site and dockers have access to shower and washroom facilities at the near by Visitor Welcome Centre which is operated by the Westport and Rideau Lakes Chamber of Commerce.
